One thing I hate about #nostr is that it’s going to make me buy an Android phone.
I tried Android for a year after Windows Phone died. I didn’t like it. Switched to iPhone since.

You can use nostr fine on an iPhone, why do you need to switch?
True. But unless iOS opens the OS a little seems like nostr development will shift to Android.
Not having a good PWAs support sucks. Lots of good nostr PWAs out there.

Pixel seem to be the best Android experience. I used Samsung… I think the Galaxy 6 days. It was horrible.
If you can, get one direct from google because they come carrier unlocked so you can immediately upgrade to GrapheneOS.

the tablets have had some poor hardware inside unfortunately, experience on an iPad is much better... Not so with the phones nowadays tho, they're pretty ez, my 70 yr old cuban parents run them and they hate all tech 😁

De-googled pixel 7a is actually quite a nice phone. Fuck Apple. Left those twats years ago. They trap you in their ecosystem and it's a huge pain to transfer all your data out of it all while forcing you to buy expensive Macs and headphones and specialized chargers and cables.
