Lol I think part of it, I *kind of get*. People don't want to poo poo on anything here, it's nascent and evolving etc etc. However I find it odd there isn't a 'uuuh wait, what??' moment for these couple of things. It's barely mentioned. I went a searched global for even the mention and found that thread, cos I thought I couldn't be the only one whose spider senses went off lol

Yeah, it's all a work in progress and you need to separate what's wrong with a particular client from what works about the protocol in general. I'm not in love with any of the clients so far but the fundamentals of the system seem pretty strong. I agree though, it's disturbing how little people seem to care at the moment. That'll change as more of the deplorables join.

This particular issue is just Amethyst, right? And didn't that guy have something to do with developing vaccine passports?

The not-shadowbanning-shadowbanning forced Blocklist seems to be an amethyst only thing, not sure it's on other clients. I have no idea about what they've done in the past. I've never heard of any of these people tbh lol. I'm just a silly lil meme account lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i think iris might be doing something with reports #[6] ?

the fact that we have many clients and they can try what ever they want means nostr can evolve faster than anything before, it may be the most important aspect of what nostr is, the dev model, in fact many aspects of dev communication are already on nostr, so expanding into github's area seems obvious

I've had a few of those moments, I must admit.

what thread?
