Having my first child in May, also attempting home-birth. Any off the cuff advice? nostr:note1m6423mlclq6lctmk9nag9jq25q7mnt4a7mthnkvs453dytjjzsjqcp89t0

I’m not qualified for advice but I will heavily consider it if hospitals don’t change drastically by the time I have kids

Highly recommend a hospital that has a midwifery department. Best of both worlds imo and experience. Birth centers are s great option of everything goes well and the pregnancy is low risk

We have one hospital that is at least friendly to midwifery, which is our backup. We wanted to work with both our primary provider & the midwife, unfortunately the primary provider has turned into the fear mongering corporate profiteering creature we’ve read about… will be searching for a replacement in that department of course

I’m guessing your wife will have a doula and a midwife? Other than that probably be prepared to go to the hospital of needed.

Best of luck!

Yes all of that is covered
