#Amethyst is sucking away my battery like crazy since the new updates, I love the app, but I don't think my phone can handle it...

I noticed my battery is going down faster, had no idea it could be Amethyst doing it.
How come? Is it just checking for updates too often or something?
Checking from 10 relays is a thing, checking from 300 is another...
Impresed about how smooth it is, it seems like my phone is even cooler when using the app than before... But it drains more juice out.
How much is it draining more? We tested on a few phones and then extra battery was minimum. Mine was like 2% extra per hour of use. What do you see there?
Any tools to measure? My battery was already problematic, and the update has just made it worse.
I just used Android's default battery usage stats. What I know is that constantly killing the app (swipe up) makes it a lot worse because the app needs to constantly reload everything about it.
Not sure if this is helpful, but this is stupidly high compared to other apps like signal
Yeah, compared to other apps that do much less, ours will always be extremely high.
But that background time shouldn't happen. The app keeps going for 1 minute after you send it to the background. So, it depends on how many times you bring it up over time, but it should be minimal.
Assuming you were not listening of video in the background, I will see if we are leaking some service.
