Last week I was in Leeds, England and tried to organize a #bitcoin meetup. A city of 1.5 million people a not a single sign up. 😳

I’m not well known in the UK, I’ve lived in #Switzerland for over 20 years, but I know how to run meetups, I run a meetup in Zürich once every 2 weeks including several presentations a year. More bitcoin activity is needed in the UK.

The UK needs to be more bitcoin friendly, we need to 🍊 💊 (local) politicians so we can have a more balanced bitcoin debate and start getting friendly regulations in place.

Is there a Bitcoin association in the UK 🇬🇧 like there is in Switzerland 🇨🇭? bitcoinassociation.ch - I think associations like this also help with debate and bringing bitcoiners, nocoiners and detractors together.
