Culturally it’s incredibly warm and welcoming.

Construction of the mine and the importation processes have been challenging to say the least. The right hand often doesn’t talk to the left and the strict observance of their orthodox Christian faith shortens the days and working week. The Ethiopian team have all told me, Once I pass the Ethiopian patience test everything will flow nicely. It feels like a right of passage or final level boss 🙈 overall 8/10 so far. Heading back this afternoon for a month or two.

OK, but I heard there is a lot of poverty, hunger and crime!

I have traveled the central & south and haven’t witnessed any crime or hunger or poverty. This might be an African thing, not my experience, seen more homelessness in Europe tbh
