Meetup is literally cancer. They operate like a ponzi scheme. You have to ask someone in your group to pay to continue the group (even if you just want to end things) in order to step down, & you have to ask for permission via email to step down before they will stop charging you. I have thankfully been able to block all future charges for free & with with very little effort, CashApp is fantastic in that regard. I can't believe this site is such a big name & so mainstream & operates this way. Lots of 1 star ratings with the BBB & they just got one more.
