Status update on the #ProofOfWork floor restoration started yesterday on halving day — Carpet all removed in the main living area revealed beautiful red tiles original to the house in mostly great condition. Not sure what kind of stone it is but it is thin and very hard to break. Some chipping and damage occurred alongside where they nailed the carpet tack so these tiles will probably need to be replaced. Otherwise some sanding, buffing should be able to get rid of paint drops and other residue. That’s what’s on the menu for the rest of the weekend 💪🏽

Looks cool… Probably some sort of brick veneer tile… Maybe consider ripping out the perimeter all the way around and doing some sort of decorative border of a decorative tile. I would just be sure to not try and match… Will never happen.
Yeah matching is gonna be a MFer… they’re also 9x9 which doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Love the idea of a decorative border tho, could be super cool!
