This is cool

I've looked at these before, my biggest gripe with laptops is the lack of upgradability. Let us know your impressions once you've had some time with it.

Will do. Most laptops you can upgrade diskspace and ram. Here you can upgrade dedicated graphics and ports also. They promise forward compatibility for the main board+cpu but we'll see about that

That's super cool. This is something that I wanted so many years ago. Though now I don't really care all that much.

Right! I've wanted one sicne forever. Mostly bought is because it's cool. A laptop with latest gen can run well for 6 years if you keep the disks clean of junkware anyway. They promise forward compatibility for parts but we'll see in 6 years lol

Did they fix the CMOS battery motherboard issue in the 16?

I have the first get 13 and its a very frustrating issue they refused to fix.

Let's hope so

Very nice! Is it easy to build?

Yeah instructions are clear wnough for a non-technical person. The mainboard+cpu come installed in the frame already.

I like the concept: you can customize it however you like and replace a part easily

Exactly! You can even save money by not buying all six ports. Which leaves an akward space open on the side. Which I regret now 😅😂😂

I would have thought they’d sell a piece to fill in the hole or something😂😂

Yeeaahh... 😂😂

I want to know what your experience is like too

With building or using it?

using it

Same

👀

Saving this one for later

🏆

I got one from Batch 1! How's the quality on yours?

Idk yet, installing linux tmrw. From the looks good, only the double spacer next to the keyboard is a bit off.

on mine I could not fit it the way you have it. It only fit with the touchpad centered. Interesting!

This is 🔥

This looks sweet!

Nice! How is the trackpad??

idk yet will install linux tmrw

🤤🤤🤤🤤
