It always seemed strange how badly they wanted me to remember "six million" in school growing up. They didn't care whether I remembered what started each war, or each side's perspective, or anything like that. Just "six million."

The photos you see of starving jews were suffering from typhus and starvation due to the allies bombing the railroad supply lines at the end of the war.
