The web of trust built of zaps.

Alice zaps Charlie with X sats with an invoice to zap back of the same amount.

If paid, a link as strong as the zap amount is for the user is established from Alice to Charlie.

If Charlie zaps Alice back with another invoice of Y amount and Alice pays it, a bond is formed.

Reciprocity can be tested with this community unlike anywhere else 💪

There’s still the long con, but you do bring up an interesting point.

Trust should be hard to gain, and easy to lose.

Alice zaps first, making herself vulnerable to Charlie. Charlie either takes advantage of Alice or ensures her trust by paying the invoice.

Charlie doesn’t have to make himself vulnerable to Alice by reciprocating, but if he does and Alice pays back, it means they fully trust each other up to that amount.

I wish we could build a web of nostr trust. We could literally buy/sell BTC from each other with cash.

Or we just zap V4V to the people building and expect nothing in return beyond the value we already receive. I do like the thought experiment though.

Does this mean that you have established a bond with the person to whom you sent the super zap?

I guess so #[3]
