I dont think it can be stopped.
I pray it stops soon, naively. It would be great, if the govts become reasonable again. But perhaps it's the nature of the late stage credit ponzi beast, that the further in you are the more control you need to exert to keep it going.
Would better worldwide demographics keep it working for longer? Maybe.
It's hard to wish for the crash, it's hard for me not to.

Like you said, there's a chance things could get better in society. After the big financial crash. And maybe freedom returns too. I just think things have gone too far. I read the US has more surveilance cameras than china now.
What worries me more is the abilite of AI analyzing a lot of data. In the hands of the government it means a lot of what was unenforceable before is becomming feasible now. And the old "on average everyone is breaking several laws daily without even realizing it" becomes a stick that can be used on a whim of a AI equiped technocrat, at scale.
Yeah, good call. Interesting to see what is enforced, when rules get stricter for internet.
Some of the AI seems good, but in general I think its dangerous.
