What made you think people like to hear the truth?!?! 🤣. People much prefer to bury their heads in the sand than face the truth imo
i think people have eye opening moments when they discover they have lied to by institutions & even those close to them, one would think they are more accepting
the biggest lies are the ones people constantly tell themselves & them convince themselves of anyway
they are often disguised as excuses, too
and we’re all like this. it takes lots of courage to admit hard truths. it takes genuine introspection and investigation—all defense mechanisms, by definition, are sub-conscious, and denial is certainly no exception.
i have been working on this on myself. probably forever
