It's not a democracy, it's a constitutional republic.

Why do they all call it a democracy?

Elon is not stupid, he's doing it with intent. Why the gaslighting?

you're like the person that ignores the content of the statement and decides to correct their grammar because you have nothing actually interesting to say. The terms are interconnected and not mutually exclusive.

Key difference: All republics are democracies (to some degree), but not all democracies are republics

The U.S. is a constitutional republic (emphasizing representative government bound by law).

Local Saudi Arabia votes in municipal elections but remains a monarchy.

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), commonly called North Korea, employs an official name starkly at odds with its actual governance. Here’s why:

Propaganda & Ideology

Euphemistic Label: "Democratic" and "People’s Republic" reflect 20th-century socialist terminology aimed at projecting a myth of collective rule.

You should try North Korea, I'm sure you'd love it.

See kids, Americans are so brainwashed they can't grasp that there is in fact a big difference between a Democracy and a Republic.

American will fail as it's citizens are brain dead.

Tnanks for the history lesson Karen. I didn't say democracies and republics were the same thing. they are interconnected in the case of the United States (President in the background and all). Unlike, idk, North Korea that uses the word Democratic as a facade. That has nothing to do with how the US conducts democracy by electing people to represent them to form a republic. Those representatives that are DEMOCRATICALLY elected, exercise their power within the constraints of the constitution and the rule of law. Why aren't you equily upset he doesn't describe it as Federalist?

You know all of this though because you're not stupid, your just a nit-picky bitch.

Ferris Buellers day off from reality.

Way to miss the point Bueller.
