So you know how in the traditional world you invest dollars with the hopes of ROI

Meaning you end up with more dollars

I’m just pondering on the idea of investing sats to get a ROI

But you end up with more sats

Like invest in a company

The shares of stock are priced in sats

Then if it’s a profitable company and they are doing well their doing well

Then the share price of the stock in sats goes up

And you could sell the stock and end up with more sats

Will ROI still be a thing in a bitcoin world?

Or if the money itself is so valuable and forever increasing in purchasing power

Then there would be no reason to invest?

Any thoughts on this?

FWIW -I BELIEVE ROI WILL BE A THING IN A BITCOIN WORLD…HOWEVER THE DENOMINATOR OF WHAT WE MEASURE THE “RETURN” IN CHANGES FROM MORE SATS TO MORE VALUE….

WHEN WE MOVE TO A WORLD WHERE THE THING WE MEASURE VALUE IN CAN’T BE PRODUCE INFINITELY THEN WHAT BECOMES IMPORTANT ISN’T MORE OF THAT THING RATHER IT BECOMES THE VALUE WHICH THAT THING REPRESENTS AND (THIS IS WHAT JEFF BOOTH IS GETTING AT WHEN HE SAYS WE BECOME 8 BILLION PEOPLE IN SERVICE TO ANOTHER INSTEAD OF TRYING TO EXTRACT FROM EACH OTHER)…

Businesses will need capital to grow, people will still be able to invest capital (Bitcoin) into businesses. People will pay the business Bitcoin for it's goods and services, and investors will get Bitcoin based on their share of the company and it's profits.

I guess what I’m trying to wrap my head around is

Ok say I’m an investor

I invest in a biz.

I invest 1 million sats in a company

When I send my sats out into the world…

Not only do I want those sats to eventually come back home to daddy,

I want those sats to bring some friends back home with them.

So some sort of deal could be structured where not only do I get my million sats back. I get plus more also

My return.

So 1 million invested

And I end up with 1.2 million

Or 1.3 million sats

Idk I’m having a blonde moment

Like an airhead…🤣

Or what about if I loaned someone a million sats

And they gotta pay me back 1.25 million sats within whatever timeline

Like a line of credit…

🤣

It can all be negotiated, the stock market is just some generalized platform to facilitate anyone to participate. Small businesses and venture capitalists typically negotiate terms of the investment. So you could specify what percentage of sats you would get back based on success (in sats) the company is able to perform.
