Not sure how true it is but I always heard Buddhists in Tibet have long eaten meat and worn fur but get their Muslim neighbors to kill the animals for them

Most communities like that live off of donations, and they aren’t very picky about what is donated. Definitely an interesting setup.

It's probably true. I've seen the meat markets in neighbouring Myanmar and had that discussion with friends who are Buddhists. They don't seem to see the contradiction πŸ˜‚
