Tell them to submit to ominous hum maxxing.
The Canaan Avalon Nanos are way more powerful (like 4-5x) and way quieter. I have 3 of them running on medium and I think they make a similar range of noise to the one bitaxe, if not maybe a little less. Also, we play ambient music a lot. It covers up the hum.
Got one of those beauties recently! Very quiet indeed - was gonna set it up under the desk at my office as a âfoot warmerâ and enjoy the free electricity.
My only concern with doing that, however, is privacy. I can pretend itâs not a Bitcoin miner but wouldnât the WiFi network see mining activity? I doubt thereâs a way to enable a vpn between the Avalon and the company WiFi network. Maybe doesnât matter, but also something I want to know before I move forward lol
Iâm not sure about the wifi âseeingâ the bitcoin mining activity. I feel like that shouldnât be any issue, I think the bigger way it could be detected is from energy usage but that also shouldnât be an issue with one machine.
