I’ve decided to go the attraction rather than promotion route when it comes to Nostr. I’m into it. I geek out on it. I wear related merch. It will invariably come up if you’re around me for very long. I let the other person guide the conversation on how much they want to know. Let’s think Field of Dreams, “Build it and they will come.”
I’ve never responded well to preaching. Much easier to catch some who is curious.

I like it that way too. My shirts are typically from Lightning store. People that ask, want to know (or it’s their fault they asked) … and the ones that spot it in the wild… well, we already know they are the real ones. 🤘🏻
I’ve yet to have someone recognize one of my shirts in public. They’ve been asked about by people who don’t know about Nostr.
Yet for Nostr. Have been talked to about my Bitcoin / Lightning shirts tho.

Same. This has been my attitude towards Bitcoin for a while. I need to do better about not preaching self hosting as much in public. But ill talk about Bitcoin/ nostr/ selfhosting as much as someone wants me to. 😅
I prefer a mixture of both 🥹 I interject Nostr (and Bitcoin) when appropriate, but I also wear appropriate merch for certain gatherings to subtly promote too.
I wear the shirts because I like them. I bring it up because it’s what I do. I just try to let it come up naturally. Also I’ve probably incidentally done more Nostr proselytizing on Hinge, just when someone asks what I’m interested in. Had one guy who had some idea what I was talking about.

Dude at one point in the conversation last night I sympathized with all the bitcoin bros trying to date.
I didn’t meet white bread dressing guy last night. But he might have been at the restaurant while I was on a date with someone else and walked passed me. I’m not 💯 since I never met him in person.
