Lately I’ve been thinking that the values and ideals of Bitcoin may slowly be forgotten by future generations in the same way the constitution has been in the US. Those in the future may not face the same challenges we do today. The lessons we’ve learned may not be instilled in generations that do not have to learn them.

To an extent, I think the “fourth turning” concept is an inevitable aspect of human nature. But maybe bitcoin will prove to be different and the values will only be echoed louder with adoption.

I just see some parallels to today. Some rights or values may seem foolish today, but we may not understand why they’re valuable because we didn’t have to fight for them in the first place.
