## Liberty is not freedom

**Free people have rights**

Rights precede the State; they persistent despite it.

Liberty is an allowance or permission from the State. Thus you can have the Right to act, but not the liberty.

Very useful insight, it's not freedom if it must be granted.

Original spelling was freodom, free of dominion which I really like
