Two questions

How do orthodoxy handle original thought and scriptural assumptions/hypothesis?

Do the orthodoxy believe that the seperation of church and state is a good thing for humanity?

I'm not sure I understand your first question. Do you mean something like the interpretation/teaching of Holy Scripture?

As for the separation of Church and state: No, separating the Church from the state is not ideal. A good resource for this would be Justinian and Byzantine Political thought.

Original thought meaning something that challenges accepted/conventional interpretation of scripture.

Seperation of Church and state is a net positive for humanity as far as I'm concerned.
