Y?

I'm 30 and have 2. I can't imagine going through raising children any older than I already am. If anything I feel like we waited too long. My oldest is 2. As much as my children are my world, there are things you're not equipped to handle as well I'm your older age. It would be sad to not be able to participate in my son's extra circulars that require physical strength and endurance. Just one example. But I would say it's never too late if you don't have any children at all. Everybody should try to have kids. I'm just saying of you already have some, 35 is a good place to try to be done by. That way you can maybe have great grandchildren one day and they will know you. Also, you can enjoy your retirement with your adult children and help them come into adulthood with less on your own plate.

I’m 37 with 2 kids 2 and 5. Wife wants another but I’m not sure I’m up for it. Id need to get into tip top shape to keep up with the youngest when the time comes. Not too much of an issue currently with both boys but I can’t even imagine 3. Oof. But part of me thinks we should go for it. It may be the last chance.

do it :)

exactly

Have you read Selfish Reasons to Have More Kids, by Bryan Caplan?

If she really wants one, go for it. I won't lie that it might be the hardest thing you do though.

If you are going down the road of raising kids anyway, it's easier to add another kid into that mix.

It would be different going from 0 to 1.

This is true for sure. Although it presents it's own unique challenges though.
