I‘m also an idiot. But to be clear! I used Linux more than 15years and it‘s not the same experience.

I hate that I know I'm being spied on, but the features are really excellent.

If it goes on like this I have to admit that I will switch back to Linux. We will see.

How long ago did you switch to Mac from Linux? You might find that it got really much better than it was. I've been on linux for over 20 years now and the progress throughout the years is wonderful. You might find a distribution that you like (elementaryOS, Pop!_OS, etc).
