There is a massive chasm between every furry autist's understanding of Nix/nixOS and any intellectually normative person attempting to wrap their head around it. It's almost hilarious how pointless it is trying to learn it in any conventional way.

An rpi4 is practically a lost cause. Might sync the chain on an external USB drive in a month.
Maybe use trustedcoin with clightning
still plenty of other use cases for the old pis, though
- home pbx over voip with asterisk
- temp/pressure monitoring for home brewing
- retro gaming
- proximity alert device
- tons of robotics projects
- music player
- automate garden watering
- add a LoRa hat and do meshtastic
- etc., etc., etc
