What do your chickens eat if I may ask
we feed them LOTS of food scraps, they get bugs and worms from thick green grass and they enjoy non-gmo layer pellet.

We just have a little tray and move them down, it works. 
the towers have worked great for us. they hold about 3 dozen eggs each and let them roll down gently enough to not cause any issues. I like the chicken in front of your eggs. looks like she is on guard duty!
