The #solar panels are up and running as of last week. made it through an inspection, got a net meter and have started selling energy back! we'll have to wait a couple of months to see how the bills turn out, but it should be good. we have a little bit of home automation to go with this using Homeassistant too. I'll share more on that once the kinks are worked out a bit.

the towers have worked great for us. they hold about 3 dozen eggs each and let them roll down gently enough to not cause any issues. I like the chicken in front of your eggs. looks like she is on guard duty!
we feed them LOTS of food scraps, they get bugs and worms from thick green grass and they enjoy non-gmo layer pellet.

We've been doing electric fencing for a few years but just ran across this recently. Clamping on to the polywire has worked, but there are areas burning out causing the juice to stop flowing the the end. Is poly braid the next best thing up from here? or should we look into heavier gauge solid wire? This is a before and after repairs pic of the fun little discovery.

We had the awesome opportunity of getting to sell our goods at our first farmers market! It was a small venue with just a few booths since it was the first time, but it was worth it! I love what you're doing here. I just started running a bitcoin node on Umbrel a couple of months ago, not too bad. question for you on the miner - do you get a decent return on bitcoin mining vs the power output to run the miners? I am thinking about bit coin mining myself, but read about bit coin miner pools, lots of compute, and obstacles to get started. you make it look easy and at home, that is appealing to me.
thank you for sharing! sounds like there were lots of ups and downs for sure. I noticed there didn't appear to be much for holes and tore up dirt. are you using any minerals with the pigs by any chance? we have IPPs and notice that if we reduce or run out of minerals they tear up the ground more.

We highly recommend seeing The Sound of Freedom. Great movie bringing human trafficking out into the open. There is also a podcast from JP Sears in early 2022 with Tim Ballard. A great listen that goes well with the movie. Go out and see the movie while it is in theaters still!

Thanks! We are actually looking into biochar as well. been studying along with Jack Spirco to understand it better. sounds like it may be a good combo to use with this, and a good mulch/carbon layer as well.
Hey #grownostr does anyone have experience with #electroculture #electrogardening? We learned about it in the last couple of days, found some scrap wire in the shop and made some antennas. We do lots of gardening and want to add this to the mix.
