I use Alby...#getalby. Android, Primal and Alby.
It depends a bit on your OS and location.
But just start with a custodial Lightning wallet and put the address in your profile.
I started out with Wallet of Satoshi, because of simplicity.
And where you live (we can’t use wallet of satoshi in the states anymore, most people are using Alby for now)

I had a guy in Australia trying to install WoS on his new graphene phone but it wasn't in the app store.
He had his VPN set to the USA & so it wouldn't display for install. We switched it to Singapore & got it installed. He said he has had problems using it with his VPN set to the USA.
I have one for poker, I didn’t try it with WOS yet, but that would be rad
I'd register an email address with the WoS account so that you can recover it if it's ever removed but it should work.
Don't rely on it as your only lightning tool, but it's very useful & optionality is always a good thing to have more of.

You could probably do something similar with the Phoenix app which is a more sovereign way to use lightning.
This app was also removed from the US app stores.
When I was working, I was the same way. Husband got in an accident and I’ve been the caregiver. I have no idea how I would have figured everything out without him and it was wayyy easier back then with lightning. Wallet of satoshi was super easy, but I have no idea how people do it now
Yes, life is that way. It throws us curve balls and we must learn to swim the waves, as best as we can. Soon to be 2y ago, I become also the caregiver of my father.
Not going into it here, but looking back, sometimes I wonder how did I managed to do it all, while still working and not having a mental breakdown 😂😂😂
What matters is that he's now much better and stable and we keep pushing forward !
About lightning, I just found out in January or February this year. Honestly, I got an Alby account and it was quite easy. I did it st first try and honestly, can recall now the steps... I just did it and is done....lol
Caregiver burnout is REAL.
Dude, lightning took a real dump the time you were learning about it so that must have been a nightmare. When puzzles helped me out, there were like 10 options, now there’s like 2 lol

It was easy, soon as I got an Alby account. Just had to link the addresses. The hardest part was to link my account to Alby to be able to send zaps ( which turned out to be the easiest part lol).A friend helped me! It's press hold lightning icon, and then the Alby icon, next, connect wallet.... I a pro now! 😅 😂😂😂. Joking 🙌
