in a sense he's like shinada really, a straightforward dumbass without ambitions, but still, i guess it's the jrpg combat that worked against that, i dunno i just enjoy a playable character more when i can see just all the kinds of shit he can do in combat when it comes to beat 'em ups and character actions games, there were 7 games to get to have fun cracking skulls open as kiryu and i think he's one of the best characters i've seen really, and there was just one game where majima is playable, yet because of how fun his styles are and putting that up in parallel to his story in 0, especially using the mad dog style in the finale, it was loads of fun, same with akiyama really because of his stylish moveset and saejima because you get to just toss shit around and not be slowed down to a crawl because of it

ichiban though, you just get to see him throw a couple punches in the regular attack command, see him do like a few kicks and suplexes and shit with the abilities and some over the top heat action abilities that honestly don't feel as good to pull off when all you have to do is have enough mp and then use it, i wonder if replaying the game with the like a brawler mod when that is out will change my opinion on him though
