I read the book Die with Zero, which actually advocated giving money/wealth to your kids when they are like 30 if you actually want to pass along your wealth. The alternative was make that last check bounce. To be fair, I think there are boomers on both sides of the equation, but generally agree with the overall sentiment.

I concur. Even if you hate your kids, which many boomers do because they ruined them, find somewhere else to deploy it.
Passing wealth along early is genius generosity. It makes so much more difference to the young who are just getting started than to those who have already struggled and succeeded. Provided that said young people have good heads on their shoulders.
I know people who are doing this and admire them very much.
