Never thought I have to post the obvious here. But having sex with a 14 year old when you are in your twenties is NOT OK. There are consent laws for a reason. I donβt care if she wanted to have sex. I donβt care that she had been drinking. You are the fucking adult.
These actions are inexcusable and should not be defended nor justified by anyone.

I'm not justifying or defending anything about the situation, I'm just going to put an alternate view from personal experience:
I, not understanding my place as a 14 year old deemed to have grown features and a "mature" personality, it never immediately clicked what the consequences of my actions initiating sexual contact with an adult could be. It was just cool (at the time) to have an adult partner which I think society as always let slide. But of course that doesn't excuse the adults part in any of the interactions.
I as an adult now understand that those behaviors were attention seeking behaviors rooted in trauma aided by how I was treated because of how I looked.
But do I put that on the people I saught to engage with?
I don't know.
In the end it's fucked up all around.
It is all fucked up. The reason for my post was that some were justify the situation because she βconsentedβ. She was drunk and 14 and in no state of mind to make any of those choices.
Me at 14. Yes, we were left to the wolves and used what power we had. Tell that voice in your head that is shaming you with an accusation of seducing a man in his 20s when you were a child to stfu. That said, put down whatever you are doing and get healed so you're not having to do it on your 50s.
