I would really like to deselect people from seeing my posts, while leaving theirs visible

while damus could in theory do this, if they are using another client they would still be able to see your posts

I would still be grateful if one app did this and then I could stick with that app

You know others can view nostr as you would using your npub? Blocking does nothing. There are no such things as private notes posted to public relays

I think you misunderstood him. Only people using that app would not see your notes.

Public on nostr is in fact public. Much like real life.
