Some thoughts: a login with npub would be nice to be able to access all the apps, being able to download the entire generated project would be great, and a cherry on top would be a hands-free prompting 😅

BTW, i tried again a similar prompt as the last time, a simple nostr based app, and it just went into a loop and never produced anything. A button that shows a log of some kind would be nice to have also.

You should be able to view all the apps without login currently; I’m worried about adding friction with logins. What advantage do you see there?

While I agree it’s not clear or obvious, you should be able to download the code from your generated app. You would just need to visit the site, inspect from your browser and then copy the static HTML.

Hands free prompting is a good idea! Let me see what I can figure out there.

I’ll look into the doom loop you had. Thanks! 🙏

If i make an app from one device it would be nice to open it on another without having to pass the links. So if i could just provide a code, does not have to be an npub, to list the apps i made, that would make the transition easier.

Wow, so everything is static html?

Would be nice if there was an indicator that gave me an idea how long it will take to complete. Now, it just seems to have stalled or crashed for me 🤔

Also, what a wonderful project 👍 Keep up the good work 😃

Maybe a pay-per-build will not make you go bankrupt?

Definitely lol

I want to reduce friction as much as possible so I’m trying to think of the best payment integration

Right now I’m leaning towards:

First couple prompts are free, then must have a minimum balance to continue using, which is deducted from after every request

And then I’d need to figure that out for both credit cards and bitcoin which will likely force me to have accounts for security, etc

For now, it doesn’t feel right to charge people when the service is this unreliable so I need to improve on that first

This is so good. I made a small donation to help cover the costs of the fun I'm having with it.

Much appreciated, friend 🙏

Glad you’re having fun with it

Tag me if you create anything cool, always fun to see what people make

Is there a way to make changes to an already generated app? When I click on retry it opens a new empty 'describe the vibe' window.

Nah, I haven’t built that yet

It’s something I would want to get to though

It's good. Had trouble getting a timer app to run in the background

Thank you, glad you like it! 🙏

Running PWAs in the background is tricky depending on the platform

My experience has been that iOS tends to kill background PWAs even with “stay alive” commands so I’ve had to do some clever tricks like log actions in localStorage browser memory so when the user comes back then it will know what happened before it was killed as a process

There may be better ways that I haven’t figured out yet

Yeah I tried changing all the battery optimization settings, like 3 in different places, for the timer app but it still paused after 10-15sec in the background. I'm having to run it on win10, good enough.

The crazy things is it seems like it was working for a few times on my earlier app versions... alarm went off with phone off a few times, no problem. Not sure how to get back to that. using android 15
