I cut my hair because “you don’t look like a doctor.”

It won’t happen again. I have always embraced being under estimated.

Don’t fall for the stereotypical..”you should look this way.” If your work is good, people won’t care what your look is” most of the time. I will say I had a gen practitioner that was one of the smartest medical professionals in the area that flipped his lid, started painting his fingernails, grew his hair out and put a perm in it (you get the idea) and it did make my continued medical relationship with him. But I didn’t stop going to him since I didn’t go to the dr often and he was so smart. Unfortunately he got sick and passed away before Covid. It was sad because i would have loved to hear his opinion on Covid.
