I think nostr is great because its pretty Normy friendly (and primal is very easy to use, as are many other apps).

Its important that new apps and programs can be easily distributed to the general public as they will support something when they see the need, and lately enough people seem to be looking for alternatives.

Too often "alternative" tech is way beyond what a normal person could get into using, and that's a shame. We'll never replace the legacy tech giants if we can't bring Joe public on board. I know as I am one of them.

What do you find most difficult, if anything?

Which other apps have you tried, and what stands out, if anything?

Its difficult to pin point.

Bad UI is what annoys me the most. Something like i2p, would be great, but none of the i2p apps are user friendly at all.

Signing up to nostr with primal was really easy, but even then, there's no real explanation of what lighting is, what's the deal with wallets? Etc etc. I knew a lot of it as I've been involved in similar before, but most people would just walk away.

Onboarding; finding accounts worth following.

Following.space helps.

If you're not following interesting stuff you don't have a reason to use nostr regularly and get drawn back to legacy social media.

At least that's what I've seen happen over and over.
