The liberal, managerial elite doesn't like workers. In fact, when it comes down to brass tacks, they despise them, see them as voting cattle that ask for too much.
Biden did the same in the USA. The Railway workers prepared for the strike action for several years and the Democrats crushed their strike with the stroke of a pen.
