And wftaf anyone would ever watch a show that promotes being mediocre and having the same opinion like the masses, however ridiculous?

I could never watch more than 2 minutes of that show, even as a kid. To try to guess the stupidity of the average person is repulsive. I suspect it was successful for so many years for reasons we don't want to admit.
