No, it's just like Slack, you create a new group. Past Private DMs cannot be made visible to a new member in NIP24 on purpose.

Maybe there could be a way to share a snapshot of history but in a collaborative way where someone can request history and users can share their own history with the requestor.

The data will have possibly reduced metadata and anyone who refuses to provide data will show in the snapshot as unknown with hidden message.

This would objectively be better than one person sharing the history on everyone's behalf in the form of a screenshot for example.
