Does anyone have a good syllabus/reading lists on Christian theology? #asknostr #christian

Are there any particular universities/courses to look up for this?

Was thinking a site that listed syllabus details from university courses could be interesting.

You could just download the syllabus and go it alone or you could form some sort of public and/or private group of other people also 'taking' the course.

I wonder if AI is good enough to assess coursework?

Anyway just an idea. Maybe this sort of thing already exists?

Jordan Peterson is diving deep into this, but systematic theology by Wayne Grudem is required by our leadership interns ๐Ÿ˜‡

Google โ€œBest Christian Theology booksโ€. Start there. Do the same with You Tube. The algorithm will fill in the spaces. ๐Ÿ™โœ๏ธ

I don't really respect him tho lol. But thank you.

Seraphim Hamilton's YouTube is probably a better resource.

based

Given his terrible advice in other departments, why should we trust him on theology?

Maybe you could find something worth looking at here .. https://www.open.edu/openlearn/

The Open University has a lot of modules concerning Theology in general, which include aspects of Christian Theology .. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผ

I mostly just read Chesterton and saints' writings. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

For academic theology resources that are accessible for non-academics I actually really like a lot of Bart Ehrmanโ€™s content (large YouTube/podcast presence) heโ€™s exvangelical agnostic so some people dislike him but I think heโ€™s pleasant

and I like going to various divinity programs for universities and seeing what content they offer accessible to non academics like this is Yale Divinity YouTube channel https://youtube.com/@yaledivinityschool you can find lots of stuff like that

Then thereโ€™s classes offered to non academics by seminaries like Saint Vladimirโ€™s theological seminary in the US has these https://www.online.svots.edu/archives

I think you could ask AI various prompts about theological books and get a decent list from that too tbh but maybe would start off reaching out to these programs or checking out other sources first and then doing some AI promoting idk tho do whatever you want ๐Ÿ˜‚

thank you:)

these are great suggestions. I was hoping someone knew a site that has people leak the course syllabuses and reading lists for courses to people outside of their intranets and whatnot.

I think every divinity student/teacher I have ever emailed has sent me whatever I asked about except for one time where I didnโ€™t get a response at all lol.

Definitely worth it to send an email saying โ€œhi I was wondering if you could tell me the reading listโ€ imo
