If the US government holds as much gold as they claim, they've done that already. They own a much larger portion of the world's gold than they own of the world's Bitcoin.
According to current data, the United States holds the most gold reserves globally, with over 8,133 metric tons, followed by Germany with 3,355 metric tons, and then Italy with 2,452 metric tons;
Besides this .. private citizens in poor nations China and India hold almost 30,000 tons of gold ..
So , not only it is good to accumulate more gold for US , it is good for poor people too .. and it is the most distributed value commodity
