Nice! You’ve got an immersion system? I’m planning to do a hydro conversion on an s19 and use a brazed plate heat exchanger to feed a thermal storage tank that then adds heat to the hot water and heating.

Actually I want to write an update on the integration with homeassistant and the experience after almost a year but didnt find the time so far 😂
I am mining based on different variables like temperatur of rooms, backflow of the house, water tank temp and so on..
Since january all the heat i need is coming from mining (hot water and heating) 😍
I am still figuring out the perfect params😂 its tricky.. You want as long mining time as possible but still heat up your house or have hot water in reasonable time.. Then outside temp drops 10C and your automation suddenly sucks 😂
The buffertank is for sure a good idea it helps to have long mining cycles and avoid on/off switching in short time..
That's a cool product! I've got a used S19 on the way so was a bit worried about dropping it into oil so planning on using a hydro conversion kit instead.
We just had solar PV fitted with a battery but the heating system uses a gas combi for radiators and the HW tank so we can't easily dump excess solar into the HW tank. Not sure how much that would save anyway if there's little demand at peak solar.
I figured that a buffer tank is just an extra battery but way cheaper than an electric one. So hopefully we can run the miner when we're getting excess solar and use the cheap rate at night to "charge" the buffer tank. When there's demand for heating/HW the buffer tank can help the combi and save on gas.
