Well, it's a lot for the psyche to handle being gaslighted especially if you've felt prey to getting ushered into the vax slaughter machine and now pieces of your consciousness are seeing the truth and your body's well being feeling the consequences. It's easier to be in denial.
No, they are not the same. For those who lived through it in their full grown up minds, justifying lockdowns is a terminal sin. While justifying Iraq invasion is like justifying Zalgiris's victory in Lithuanian Basketball League in 2007 - other than Iraqis and there friends nobody cares. Iraq was another world that nobody knew anything about - strangers. And it was their word that they were good against the word of our news that they were bad. No iraqi managed to prove his trustworthiness to me, become my friend, shine some light to me about the situation. Neither before, nor during, nor after. I go to market in any non-westernized muslim country. I greet the merchants respectfully with as-salamu alaykum, I look respectful but not local, not muslim, but obviously I am a guest, a guest whom their king welcomed. And the merchants still do not treat me seriously.

Sad. Where I live it went on for months and months. To this day I believe it may have harmed my toddler's development.
When we finally fell I'll to the dreaded disease the lockdowns were over, but we stayed home for a few days until we felt well enough. Imagine that, we made a decision not to pass it on to the grandparents or others without the iron fist of govt forcing it.
