Can anyone tell me what the "Bold" setting on a coffee maker actually does?

I think it brews slower for stronger coffee 🤷🏻
It makes the font thicker.... Hope this helps.
Slows the brew so the water is sitting in the coffee grinds for longer and also increases the temperature to enhance extraction. Gives it a stronger richer flavour.
I don’t know but I smash that motherfucker every morning.
Doesn't matter if you use bad coffee
It makes a coffee for me
I've never had any fear of using it.
