For hundreds of years people used to believe in witches and demons. Thousands were killed. People were basically insane.
Discussion
Wasnt there lots of ergot tied to the salem trials? Like in their wine or bread or tea or something?
And yet, witches and demons still roam among us today.
And remember, we haven't changed.
Can you see any parallels today to this?
Sanity is relative and history must be viewed in epochs, or bubbles.
It makes no sense to compare these people to us, it's an apples to bowling balls comparison.
They can only be judged by their contemporaries.
If anyone among the people of that time was "sane" enough to decry the practice, to draw the wrath of a violent mob to your door, they would be paradoxically insane.
The killings were so sweeping that studies on the genetics of psychics show these inquisitions in our blood. It's why there aren't more psychics today.
Might be millions of innocent people killed. Also perhaps the real demons were the ones who had severed their spirit with nature.
Sounds like Lucifer to me.
Still today there are people who believe in it although they no longer burn anyone alive which is an advance.
Religions, that vestige of anachronistic ignorance.
People are still insane.
Humans are still insane to date
What makes you think these are not real?
