TBH, I don't think that he is simply focused on finding escape routes. I have seen him talking about building new systems. I think that he even mentioned Bitcoin in that context. Or did I just dream it... Have you been listening to his videos? Or did you just assume that he is one of the people who is simply trying to hide?
