I do know of Cyprus. But this type of French savings accounts has been in existence since 1818 and seemingly quite popular. Originally started to pay back war debt, funny enough. They have since been used for social housing and urbanism projects. They were approved for defense spending again in 2023. I sure as hell wouldn't put my money in there for tax benefits lol, but apparently the French choose this ðŸ«

I’m hearing that this would be a EU thing not just a France thing. I can tell you Spaniards do not have that type of accounts and they’re not used to this kind of thing (plus they’re really not big on war). This will be a scandal in Spain of huge proportions.
