I wish #onlyzaps were an option in most clients for those who want to use it. Personally I like the more raw v4v form of engagement that onlyzaps represents, but the joy of nostr is that you as a user are free to utilize and engage with this protocol in whatever way brings value to you.
I can see this being an option in all clients going forward, that most don't use.
(I'm thinking like it's 2035 and normies are finally joining by the millions because bitcoin is now money and you could earn money for simply posting a meme on nostr)

Likes let's the user know if the note matches their followers vibe.
Zaps are a step further into the current V4V you speak of but i think likes give value in knowing you could be going in the right direction with a thought etc.
With this opt-in for onlyzaps I would be fine. I mean no pressure to receive and send other reactions to those who prefer not to do this.
This is why I think “both and” is the way!
