Two things are simultaneously true:
1) Memes/content are made to be shared.
2) Nobody likes a freeloader.
It is good practice to zap the person you copied content from if you’re going to use it for your own benefit.

Would like to see more accreditation too. See many videos here without those, as I try to find the original source. Tend not to zap when it’s very clear it’s simply been copied.

All throughout history people have paid to spread their ideas. I don’t mind you calling me restarted, that’s my cost of spreading an idea😁.
Both could be OK.
People can claim their work and TM and be the revenue generator or ask for royalty.
People can also give away their product and expect good people to try and return value somehow.
