I fear a firestorm raging through my manicured inner-city suburb in a possible future - one far from any bushland. Nothing could stop it.
Sealed roads would melt. Power poles burn.
Could happen in any Australian city, like it has many a country township 😶
I refer anyone - who doubts the possibility - to the WW2 US firebombing of Japanese cities, or to the fate of Dresden. Once begun, the fires created their own weather. Bushfires create their own incendiary showers ahead of the front.
