The Greek etymology of "psychedelic" is a nice rabbit hole. However, this doesn't mean you should do mushrooms and expect something for nothing. That would be retarded. Done properly, once is enough. You're a junkie is you abuse it or worse - a hippie.

Research into microdosing has shown antidepressive properties for some

Never been my drug but i know how to spot them after the appropriate amount of rain and sun in the cow pattie

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the idea. Depressive behavior is healed from within. The body can produce anything found in nature anyway.

Not always behavior, sometimes biochemical

You are being glib

As I've said - it's healed from within. Biochemically too!

One cannot always have sex 24/7

Freud has entered the chat...

OK FINE ☝🏻😅

I really can't see shrooms being abused yet.

From my limited experience it's quite intense & not exactly a cruisy ride. It's like you're strapping yourself in for 2-3 hrs of internal work.

It's very different to pot, which is easy to become dependent on.

Going to go full retard & see.

I partake in daily micro-dosing to promote greater mindfulness and to stimulate nerve growth.

🍄‍🟫😌

I'm interested in lionsmane for neural regeneration & as a food.

I've not experimented with microdosing although I've taken a few microdoses.

As far as administration goes, I sometimes go for weeks at a time, but mostly just a few days, then I abstain for unspecified timeframes.

You just feel out 'microdosing' on a day-to-day basis.

Now... I rarely engage in macro-dosing; in fact, I've never exceeded more than 1.5 grams, and that event was years ago.

Alan Watts has a bit about this as a revolving door, but this meme is also on point. You're right about the difference from pot tho.

Yes, agreed.

We are in the 3D reality to experience it.

If we spend most of our time in other realities are we really making the best use of our time here?

This is the million bitcoin question! It's really really hard to balance the scale. That's probably why the eternal return keeps returning. 😃

The end is just the beginning.

Cycles within cycles.

This is Watt’s actual quote.

He uses both the door and the telephone metaphors. The revolving door is also linked with the concept of bodhisattva.

I also heard him use two other metaphors which he probably modernized to make the phone and revolving door ones…

When crossing a river with a raft, once you cross the river you leave the raft on the shore… you don’t go carrying it around with you.

When using a rock to bang on door to get let in… you put the rock back down, you don’t carry it in with you. Probably an old Buddhist saying.

You clearly know your Alan Watts. The rock thing is interesting tho. I may have never knocked on a door using a rock... 😅
