nostr:npub14hals7mg55wgdj0lwv3p2th0lk5jz9whseagcqkcjamvqqmlf4fsckpqf0 I'm in Canadian hardiness zone 3b - from my very quick research, might be a stretch to grow any Physalis here.

I've eaten some before though (a friend grew some successfully in Europe), and did quite enjoy them.

My seeds were sourced from the wild in zone 8 but if you would like to try it out, you should find a Canadian source in case there are zone variants in the species. Tradewinds sources their P grisea from Canada. https://www.tradewindsfruit.com/physalis-grisea-quebec-ground-cherry-seeds but you might be able to find other 🇨🇦 sources locally.

do you get cloud berries where you are?
